I've been tagged by Clover Autrey to tell you 8 things about me you never knew before. So, here goes:
1. My middle name is Patrice.
2. I'm extremely allergic to strawberries, apples, plums and other soft fruit- so I could be murdered with fruit, and my death would still be attributed to natural causes! (Ha-Ha!)
3. I've a warped sense of humour (- see nr.2)
4. I'm afraid of heights.
5. October 2000, I stood at the top of the World Trade Centre in NY with my hubby and innocently commented, as I watched helicopters circle below us: what if one of those should crash into the building... a year later... Go figure.
6. I've a black belt in taekwon-do (2nd Dan)
7. I need my space. Can't have too many people around me, all the time.
8. I grew up in Bury, Lancashire, the setting of the Wild Rose Press' Historical Contest.
In case I tag you, here are the rules:
1) Each player starts with 8 random facts or habits about themselves.
2) People who are tagged need to write their own blog about their 8 things with a copy of these rules.
3) At the end of your blog you need to choose 8 people to get tagged and list their names.
4) Don't forget to leave them a note saying they've been tagged.
Tag you're it!
I tag Wild Rose Press Authors: Kathleen M. Basi, Teresa Reasor, Pamella Roller, Diana Bold, Leslie Dicken, tarah Scott, Catherine Cairns, Janet Halpin- my apologies if you've already been tagged.

Hi Michelle! By the way, I believe I got your new book from Fictionwise :) I love the historicals and I need to double make sure I got it, or that its in the basket and get it to my reader!
This is fun to read!! I'm terrified of heights, but mostly walking or driving across bridges. I'm allergic to honey and bees so I often have to read the labels cuz some use that for flavoring alot now.
Its great visiting here!! I enjoy reading so many of you! I don't get to visit often on the blogs but I marked this so I come back again!

Hi Caffey! Thanks for taking the time to drop by.
I'm a huge fan of historicals myself. I can only hope I've done justice to my favorite subject, and you thoroughly enjoy Ripples in the Water.
Being tagged actually made me think about the sort of person I am. I've never really sat down and listed my flaws, or my likes or dislikes, or my achievements. That I found 8 (and more) truly amazed me.
Luckily, I'm well-balanced, and in no need of a shrink. Yet. Writing is my therapy.

How old is too old to begin taekwon-do...do you reckon?
Hi Buffy! Taekwon-do is for everyone- from 7 to 70.
I started when I was 35, and I'm now 41. I wanted to get fit, and learn something in the process- hence a martial art. Coupled with a brilliant teacher I achieved my black belt within 4 years.
I'm fitter, and more confident, than I was in my 20's.
Thus, you're never too old to start taekwon-do. The initial reticence wanes as your confidence grows, and you start to master the first kicks and self defence techniques.
But, it's not a race. Everyone has a limit to their ability, and if you ensure you find yourself a good instructor- who concentrates on the mental strength and spiritual side of taekwon-do- the results will come.
No matter your age, your mind and senses can be trained to be alert, quick and aware. That is taekwon-do. And if you can kick ass, as well- that is the bonus.
Hope this helps.
Michelle
