Quick, name the best three things about summer! I'll bet one of them is FRUIT. Where I live, on the Olympic Peninsula in the state of Washington, we're never far from by fields of fruit and vegetables. The store we shop at most is the store for a private farm. Just the name-- Sunny Farms --makes me smile! Today my husband and I stopped at a strawberry farm to pick five pounds. They're wonderful!
Beside them in my refrigerator I have bing cherries, red grapes, a huge papaya (Caribbean) and a small watermelon. Oh, and black plums, nectarines, and oranges.
I hope you're enjoying a taste of summer wherever you are (unless you're in the southern hemisphere).
