When my writing juices wane I turn to
painting. When I paint, I make up stories about my painting. In this
oil painting of an old mill there is a tiny house in the background. Who
lives there? Perhaps a family and the father owns the mill. Perhaps a
lonely, grumpy old man who is the foreman at the mill. There is a great
story there just waiting to come out.
