Is there anybody out there?

Do you ever get the feeling you're talking to yourself?

You blog your best or participate in an author chat/Wild Rose Press Promo. After letting your fingers fly across the keyboard, you wait for a response.

Just like in those old B-movies, it's much too quiet out there. Except for a couple of words from another WRP author or one of the handful of loyal readers who comment, there's nothing but the vast silence of Cyberspace.

Is there anybody out there?

It's not too late to take advantage of this bonus offer: Just send an e-mail to the author (Susannerose@thewildrosepress.com) with "The Christmas Promise" in the Subject Line. You'll have to read the story first so you can identify the secret recipe when you send your e-mail. Santa will send you a copy of the secret recipe.

I'm sure there are folks out there... my blog gets about 3-4 comments a day (if that) and yet, my hits are 20 times that high. People lurk...

How many? Only the shadow knows.

:-)

And she's not telling!

Thanks, Marianne, for coming out of lurkdom long enough to reassure me there really are people out there.

Well said, Susanne, or I should say, Well asked. Friends and family want to know what a writer does all day, so I've sent them my blog to keep up. Some read, some have even printed off a particular post they liked, but few leave a comment. Maybe it's writer anxiety? Afraid to say the wrong thing or the wrong way.

I'll look forward to visiting your blog and to letting you know someone's out there.
